The word Artistry has attracted my attention, I'm curious how the cafe looks like and how aesthetic the food is + the taste, so I dragged my friend to go with me.

Artistry is a new art gallery and cafe in a shophouse, which serves as a platform for both local and international artists for their debut exhibitions, performances, talks as well as events.

The galleries inside the cafe can be bought by the customers.

When we entered the cafe, it is almost packed so we left with the long bench which was difficult for us to eat as the table is too low apart from being photogenic.

I ordered the hot mocha while my friend ordered the cold one. I prefer the hot one because it is easier to taste the aroma of the coffee. The mocha is well balanced, not too sweet and bitter, that's what I love.

Next up is Home-made Granola & Yoghurt Ice Cream! It is a Greek Yoghurt with the mixture of toasted oats, raisins, hazelnuts, cashew, almonds, maple syrup and grated coconut.

There are so many healthy ingredients in it! The yoghurt taste like Marigold yoghurt which is nice, just that this one is frozen. I like this kind of texture. The combination especially the toasted oats which is very fragrant and crispy, goes well with the yoghurt.

Here comes our main dish!

I ordered Potato Hash & Scrambled Eggs. It is so nicely decorated, that I can't bear to destroy it! The scrambled eggs is very creamy, I find it nice, but maybe some of you don't like creamy scrambled eggs.

The charred kale is nicely seasoned and is crispy. The streaky bacon is not too hard which is easy to chew and is well marinated. The potato croquesttes is tender inside and crispy outside. Overall, the hollandaise is well matched with the food.

However, the small portion is not enough for me.

As for my friend, she ordered Beer Battered Fish & Chips! It comes with vinegar and mayonnaise, there should be green papaya salad but they replaced it with fries.

The fries is noraml, nothing special. The fish taste like Fish & Co. , nothing special about it but when it is dipped with the vinegar and mayonnaise as well as the lime juice, it tasted totally different, sour, sweet and refreshing!

Overall:

  • Service 3/5

  • Ambience 4/5

  • Food 4/5

  • Worthness: 3/5
